It’s set in the world of mainstream pop cultures and based around the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake ‘nipplegate’ incident at the Superbowl in 2004.

Described as a fun, fast and “hugely entertaining” show, it explores how Black women are treated by the media – as well as the public’s need for icons and positive role models.

Paula Varjack uses ‘nipplegate’ to examine how the media treatment of middle aged women has changed since the turn of the century.
