Theatre architect Frank Matcham, designed the Bristol Hippodrome

The venue is a major receiving house theatre in central Bristol. It hosts UK and Ireland tours of major theatre productions, mostly musical theatre, ballet, children’s shows and some opera.

The theatre was designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1912. It’s currently owned and run by Ambassador Theatre Group.
