Bristol school children take part in national Shakespeare festival
Bristol school children are taking part in a national youth drama festival.
Shakespeare Schools Festival gives youngsters the opportunity to perform half hour versions of some of the Bard’s greatest hits in some of the UK’s finest theatres.
Running from 18 September until 12 November, performances will be held in 67 theatres across the UK.
Around 10,000 school children age 11 to 16 will be treading the boards.
In Bristol, Colston Girls, Cotham, Monks Park, Nailsea, Oasis Academy, Redland Green and the Red Maids are some of the schools in the region taking part.
Performances are running through October and will be staged at The tobacco Factory.
