Bristol theatre company Red Rope Theatre, are staging the results of a free young writers scheme which took place in the city this year and ran in association with the Bristol Old Vic.
The scheme was aimed at up and coming writers aged 16-21, allowing them to enter their plays at the end of 12 monthly sessions for a chance to be performed as a rehearsed reading by professional actors in the city.
The result of the scheme will see Ben Tedds’ play Captain, My Captain performed in full, alongside rehearsed scenes from the plays of four runners up. Audience members will have the chance to meet and greet participants at the end.
The event takes place at The Big Act on Friday 23 August at 7.30pm.
