Dry Season by Kat Lyons Comes to The Rondo Theatre Bath
A new show by Bristol City Poet Kat Lyons, will be taking place at The Rondo Theatre in Bath next month.
Dry Season, written and performed by Kat, was created in response to their diagnosis and early experience of premature menopause at the age of 39. It took Kat 18 months of difficult undiagnosed symptoms as well as feelings of shame until they found out what was going on with their body – something they found to be a common experience amongst other menopausal women.
Kat’s show aims to counter the systemic ageism and misogyny surrounding menopause to stop the feelings of embarrassment and shame it evokes in half of the population. It will be performed through a blend of witty and honest spoken word, music and movement, original poetry, animation and medical texts.
Dry Season, which is suitable for people aged12 years upwards, will be at The Rondo Theatre in Bath on 03 November 2022 at 8pm. It will run at one hour long with no interval. A post-show Q&A will take place.
