Cinderella: A Fairytale – Bristol Old Vic

Sally Cookson and Adam Peck’s fantastic adaptation of Cinderella returns to the Bristol stage. With a new and re-imaged production, the show will make its home at Bristol Old Vic for the theatre’s Christmas season.

It’s inspired by the original Brothers Grimm’s story, packed with live music, festive fun and epic storytelling.

Following the death of her mother, free-spirited Ella seeks solace in the woods surrounding her and her father’s home, enchanted by the birds that roost peacefully in the trees.

It’s her love of birds which causes her to bump into a mysterious boy who shares her love of birdwatching.

When her father remarries, Ella finds her life turned upside down with the arrival of a new extended family with their own cruel and scheme plans.

With an invitation to the ball from her mysterious new friend, will she ever make it to the ball…
