Marshmallow Me by Rosie Pepper at Alma Tavern Theatre Bristol

New writing from Rosie Pepper, brings to the stage a heartfelt and uplifting piece of theatre. It delves into the difficulties young people can experience in pursuit of their dream of becoming an actor.

Ruby is a young girl who grew up in Scarborough. In order to further her acting career, she made the move to London, hopeful of bright lights and living the dream.

The move was challenging. Opportunities were there, but, so was culture shock, unstable housing and financial struggles – which resulted in an eating disorder taking her down a dark path.

Though therapy sessions, true love and work, she came back stronger than before.

Marshmallow Me, is described as ‘heartfelt’ and ‘hilarious’.

The theatre company has partnered with charity SEED (Support and Empathy for people with Eating Disorders).

They will be raising awareness as well as funds for the charity.

Marshmallow Me will be at the Alma Tavern Theatre on 20 May 2025
