Mr Crispie by Lewis Cook & Vince Stadon – Alma Tavern Theatre

Bristol theatre company Boogie Nachts Theatre returns this September with Mr Crispie. It’s a murderously irreverent farce set in post-war London.

Mr Crispie tells the story of Charles Reginald Ispe, a fussy bachelor and unremarkable council officer who dreams of etching his name in the annals of infamy as a famous serial killer. Inspired by notorious villains like the Tottenham Throttler and the Madman of Mayfair, he has planned every detail of the perfect crime. However, when the chance finally arrives, he finds that not only has the rug been pulled from beneath him, but the underlay has come with it too.
