Troubled Waters – The Wardrobe Theatre

Storyteller Corinne Harragin, is touring the UK with a brand new piece of theatre – Troubled Waters: Contemporary retellings of ancient river legend, folklore & myth.

The show will transport audiences into a world where ancient folklore intertwines with contemporary themes, celebrating female agency and queerness whilst igniting new connections with waterway and wetland restoration.

There’s over 4,000 miles of polluted waterways and Britain and Ireland’s rivers are in ruin. The show will wind through stories shaped by our relationships with rivers.

It’s something Corrine knows a lot about as a research associate at the University of Bristol. Her current project Storying the Avon has been funded by the Brigstow Institute. It explores our connection to water through storytelling.

Corrine has been touring the UK as a storyteller for the last ten years and has also performed with hit show Women Who Gave No F*cks.
