Windrush Caribbean Film Festival at the Arnolfini

A day-long event celebrating the legacy of the Windrush Generation will be taking place at the Arnolfini this month.
The annual Windrush Caribbean Film Festival will bring together and unite creatives, film makers, artists and activists as it celebrates the legacy of the Windrush Generation and tells the stories of those from the Caribbean diaspora.
The event will see community-driven shorts reflecting upon the city’s radical history regarding the Bristol Bus Boycott.
There will also be spoken word events, a celebration of escapologist Bunny Niel and a pop-up exhibition from Tapestry of Black Britons featuring iconic figures who have shaped Black British life.
This year’s event is running in partnership with St Pauls Carnival, Tapestry of Black Britons and Curiosity UnLtd
The Windrush Caribbean Film Festival takes place at the Arnolfini in Bristol on 28 June 2025
