SUMMARY:Yes\, Prime Minister - Barn Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Jim Hacker and Sir Humphrey are BACK! \nIt’s a tense weekend at Chequers. New Prime Minister Jim Hacker is facing a collapsing economy\, party infighting\, a hostile media – and Sir Humphrey Appleby. With a high stakes loan on the table and a Civil Service he’s not sure he can trust\, Jim must save his premiership\, and the economy\, while out manoeuvring his rivals and reasserting democratic control. \nPacked with verbal sparring and laugh-out-loud logic\, Yes\, Prime Minister tackles modern political issues – financial crises\, Europe\, corruption – with razor-sharp wit and crystal clarity.

SUMMARY:Blaze FM - The Weston Studio
DESCRIPTION:Yo! Listen. Right now it’s Blaze FM. 101.7. You’re locked into the sounds of SHUT DOWN CREW. I need 20 missed calls if you wanna hear this one again. Press play on that. \nThe Big House made their Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut with Blaze FM in 2025\, an explosive piece of political theatre weaving Grime\, Garage\, Drill and Jungle tracks through an electrifying eighty minutes of powerful performance. Now\, Blaze takes the fire from the studio to the road in a 2026 regional tour. \nYou’re locked into Blaze FM – the pirate radio station pioneering new music as a voice to the madness outside\, broadcasting an uncensored political perspective and birthing “the realest music from the next generation”. Blaze FM blasts from a rundown council flat in Hackney\, laying the foundations of Grime\, now one of Britain’s most celebrated subcultures of music. But in the midst of court orders\, DTI signal cuts\, and outright attacks against Black music\, the family fight for their right to exist.

SUMMARY:Work While They Sleep - Alma Tavern Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Jenny Futuro brings Work While They Sleep to the Alma Tavern Theatre this September. \nIt’s an adaptation of a new Brazilian feminist sci-fi play. It tells the story of a woman who accidentally conjures a sinister alter ego. \nIn a bid to achieve her dreams of success\, she needs the alter ego to work for her between the ‘lost hours’ of midnight and six in the morning. \nProblems soon begin when the alter ego wants more time\, space and control… \nWhile They Sleep explores themes around late stage capitalism and how it traps women within a continuous cycle of abuse – but also convincing them it was their idea. \nIt’s told through physical theatre and video art. \nThe production is supported by Arts Council England as part of the UK/England Season of Culture 2025-26. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Silly Serious Sessions - The Elephant House
DESCRIPTION:Silly Serious Sessions is a weekly space for anyone who wants to express their creativity and imagination through movement and voice. The sessions offer a safe space for being playful and silly together – to be our weird wonderful selves in the spirit of playfulness! \n\n\nWhat to expect?\nEach session will be a mix of physical theatre games and exercises\, dance improvisation\, expressive art and playing creatively with voice. Expect lots of moving\, creating nonsense worlds and nonsense sounds and soundscapes – drawing from and soaring on our personal and collective imagination. \nWe will start each session with warm up games\, dive deeper into play with a few longer exercises and finish with a grounding close. No previous experience is required\, only a willingness to move and give it a go. This is a good space for someone dipping their toe into physical theater for the first time and a nice playfield for someone who has done it before. \nAbout the facilitator:\nHi I’m Nina! I’ve got naughty elves inside my heart and I would love to share their joy and mischief with you! I also wish to share my inspirations and experience I gained in my training in contemporary dance\, physical theatre\, street theatre\, music and expressive art\, and invite all those naughty elves inside you to come out and play! \nDisclaimer:\nThis is a group-based workshop — most games don’t work with just a couple of people. A group of minimum 4 people is required to run each session. In case we’re less than that on Thursday morning\, I will email everyone booked with the option of refund or a spot the following week. \nA note on moving: sessions involve continuous standing and full-body movement\, including some floor work. If you have any questions about whether this is accessible for you\, please reach out to me before booking: sillyserioussessions@proton.me. \nIf money is tight but you would like to come\, please reach out and we will find a way. \nAny questions? Just send me a quick email: sillyserioussessions@proton.me. \nVenue: The elephant house\, 1 Dean Street\, Bedminster\, BS3 1BG. \nTimes: 19.00 to 20.30. \nDates in 2026 \nSeptember: 24 \nOctober: 01\, 08\, 15\, 22 \nNovember 05\, 12\, 19\, 26 \nDecember: 03\, 10\, 17 \nA bundle of more tickets is also available which then reduces the cost per session to 10 pounds\, please email me if you would like to purchase a bundle. \n\nEntry Requirements: 18+
