DESCRIPTION:Bristol Old Vic Theatre School’s 3rd Year BA Acting Students will be performing Romeo and Juliet at Tobacco Factory Theatres this autumn. The performance comes as part of the School’s 80th Anniversary Autumn Season. \nDirected by School alum and former Artistic Director of the Royal shakespeare company – Sir Gregory Doran \nThe School’s anniversary year kicks off with a flagship production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. In a major coup for the School\, the production will be directed by world-renowned Shakespeare expert and alum of the School - Sir Gregory Doran.  \nAdding to the “full circle” nature of the project\, the production features set and costume design by fellow alum Aldo Vazquez.   \nTaking to the Tobacco Factory Theatres stage this October\, the production will showcase 50% of the graduating BA Professional Acting cohort from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School\, offering audiences a chance to see the stars of tomorrow directed by a titan of the British stage.  \nThis version of Romeo and Juliet is also perfect for School groups who are looking to bring students studying Romeo and Juliet for GCSEs and there are special School group discounts available – including £5 tickets for students and free for teachers.

But\, soon a lingering violent threat forces him to confront the only stain he cannot clean. \nIt’s described as a ‘disturbing\, often funny\, and unapologetically messy exploration of queerness.’ It challenges respectability politics\, confronts trauma and leads audiences to find hope. \nThe show is written and performed by multiple fringe theatre winner queer activist Dr. Pants \nDark Room is told through autotheory\, movement and multimedia visuals against an original electronic score. \nDr.Pants work has raises money for LGBTQ+ charities worldwide. \nAge rating: 18 upwards \n
