DESCRIPTION:Independent producing company The Working Theatre\, brings previews of Zahid Fayyaz’s new play 1947 to the Arnolfini this September. \n\n\nWriter-director Zahid Fayyaz trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York.\n\nZahid is also a graduate of the Soho Theatre Writers’ Lab.\n\n\nZahid makes work rooted in the American Group Theatre tradition and drawn from British Pakistani and diaspora experience- stories about family\, inheritance\, and belonging.\n\n\nCurrrent production\, 1947\, is supported by an Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant.
