SUMMARY:Lanny - Bristol Old Vic
DESCRIPTION:From Bristol Old Vic and in association with ETT comes the world premiere of Lanny. Bea Roberts has adapted Max Porter’s folk horror novel which will be staged at the Bristol theatre this autumn. \nNancy Medina will be directing the show. \nWhen a family move out of London to a West Country village\, their son Lanny awakens the interest of the mythical figure Dead Papa Toothwort. Reality and imagination intertwine in a dark and powerful story of folklore\, fable and the nature of belonging.

SUMMARY:Off-Key - Bristol Old Vic
DESCRIPTION:“The thing about being exceptional Sabrin\, you have to believe everybody else isn’t.” \nAt a Birmingham grammar school bursting with overachievers\, political meltdowns\, and teenage delusion\, best friends Sabrin and Ruqqiyah are free-falling to their futures. \nSabrin secretly prepares for a life-changing music audition\, while Ruqqiyah orchestrates a symphony of her own – conducting the fall of a problematic teacher. Between Paramore\, panic attacks\, and increasingly chaotic schemes\, the girls’ clashing priorities reach a crescendo that unveils a growingly strained bond. \nQuick-witted and deeply heartfelt\, Off-Key is a coming-of-age drama about Black girlhood\, ambition\, friendship and what happens when the person who knows you best\, becomes someone you no longer recognise.
