SUMMARY:Milo Edwards: Catamaran (Preview) - The Gaffe Comedy Club
DESCRIPTION:Should you know about your dad’s seduction techniques? In 2025 Milo Edwards found a box of old letters in the back of his late Mother’s wardrobe. Catamaran is a show about his parents and the letters they wrote and the 1980s — what remains of a human life\, what’s torn out\, what happens if that life was surprisingly horny… and whatever happened to Jim Lock’s catamaran?

SUMMARY:Amelia Hamilton: Moral Support (Preview) - The Gaffe Comedy Club
DESCRIPTION:This show is held at The Robin Hood \nAmelia’s got your coat but she hasn’t pulled. She’s turned\, comedy outlaw. Each one of her new rap lines is a deadly bullet in her lyrical revolver. It’s 2026 and we are living in a new wild west where the old rules don’t apply. \nAmelia Hamilton\, ‘the rapping comic you instantly adore’ ***** (One4Review.co.uk) and 2025 ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer winner\, returns with Moral Support – a show that is unpredictable\, sharp and surprising at every turn. \nFeatured on BBC Radio 4 and BBC iPlayer\, Hamilton skewers modern morality\, joyfully dismantling everything from bad men with excellent manners to competitive happiness\, gravedigging’s inevitable rebrand and why we should absolutely re-stigmatise mental health. Smart\, subversive and gloriously off-beat. ‘You do not want to miss the talent that is Amelia Hamilton’ ***** (EdFestMag.com). \nSaddle up and bring your whisky. Hamilton is gonna show us that perhaps the good guys were actually the bad girls all along. \n

SUMMARY:Princess Sparkles - The Wardrobe Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Alt comedy scene\, writer and performer Lily Maryon\, brings her debut solo show Princess Sparkles to the Wardrobe Theatre. \nPrincess Sparkles invites audiences to step into the role of children at a birthday party whether they’re ready for it or not. Structured around familiar party favourites such as pass the parcel\, musical statues\, and improvised storytelling\, the show recreates the unpredictable energy of a children’s party while revealing a more complex story beneath the surface. \nAt its centre is Princess Sparkles\, a chaotic entertainer barely holding it together. What starts as nostalgic fun becomes a sharp character study revealing the emotional strain behind the act. \nThe show blends character comedy\, clowning\, and audience interaction. \nIt draws from Lily Maryon’s real experiences as a children’s entertainer. \nThe show uses verbatim moments from parties ranging from surreal to brutal highlighting the challenge of performing for children\, with cutting remarks like “paid to entertain me” and “out of work actor”. \n  \n

SUMMARY:The Fit Prince - Tobacco Factory Theatres
DESCRIPTION:The Fit Prince (who gets switched on the square in the frosty castle the night before (insert public holiday here))\nAwkward Productions returns to Tobacco Factory Theatres this June with their brand new show: The Fit Prince (who gets switched on the square in the frosty castle the night before (insert public holiday here)). \nThe show sees Linus Karp and Joseph Martin return to Bristol with their latest hit show – this time sending up Christmas and Hallmark holiday movies. \nPanic! In Swedonia. The King is dead and the prince next in line to the throne is unmarried – if he doesn’t find someone soon\, he must forfeit the crown! \nIn New York City\, baker Aaron Butcher is butchering his career as a family baker. Maybe a commission in the non-location-specific country of Swedonia will fix his problems… \nThe show features original music by Leland and a large digital cast including Geri Allen. \nExpect it to have all the usual features we know and love – ‘queer\, chaotic\, comedic and heartfelt’. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Raj Poojara & Roger O'Sullivan (Double Previews) - The Gaffe Comedy Club
DESCRIPTION:Raj Poojara grew up in a Ugandan-Indian household where career advice was less ‘follow your dreams’ and more ‘don’t embarrass the family’. In DICE\, he explores what happens when life feels pre-rolled. \nFrom identity confusion and hyper-competitive cousins to navigating respectable career paths and cultural expectation\, Raj examines the pressure to land on the ‘right’ number. Sharp\, personal and packed with punchlines. \n  \nAmbition is a mortal sin — or so Roger O’Sullivan was taught growing up in rural Ireland. But with the Irish identity trending and authenticity all the rage\, in 2026\, perhaps the real nepotism is being a peasant boy who can tell a few funny stories. \nNominee: Best Newcomer Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2025. Winner: Best Newcomer Comedian’s Choice Award 2025. ‘No shortcuts: just craft\, timing and a deep love of the game’ (One4Review.co.uk). ‘Talents like O’Sullivan don’t come around very often’ (Rolling Stone).

SUMMARY:The BLANK Who BLANKED Me - The Wardrobe Theatre Bristol
DESCRIPTION:Degrees of Error\, creators of hit show Murder\, She Didn’t Write\, will be at The Wardrobe Theatre this July with a brand new show as part of Bristol Pride. \nThe Bristol-based company produce original comedic and dramatic improvised work. \nThis new show is one of many they have staged for the city’s Pride events over the years. \nThe “unabashedly queer torrid romance” is an  improvised romance from which you can expect high drama and a lot of laughs. \nLove stories are with us from a very young age\, beginning with those idyllic fairy tale romances with princes and princesses\, knights\, dragons\, and love that is pure and sweet and true. This is not that kind of love story. \nThis is the kind of love story where passion strikes like a wrecking ball\, leaving you dazed\, confused\, and madly in love with an unaccountable asshole who does admittedly look really good climbing out of a lake in a thin white shirt… Think of dark romances that ruin your life\, forbidden loves that refuse to be denied (no matter how messy it gets)!

SUMMARY:Starshore - Alma Tavern Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Marcus Sahir brings his brand new show\, Starshore\, to the Alma Tavern Theatre this summer. \nIt’s a one-man comedy drama\, written and performed by Sahir\, exploring themes around eating disorders and mortality. It focuses on recovery\, queer friendship and the forces of nature that can both destroy and heal us in turn. \nYears after forging friendship in an eating disorder ward\, Aadhi and Kara re-unite on a hiking trip to the sea\, determined to be new people and put the past behind them. Aadhi has never seen the ocean before. Kara sees it every summer\, and can’t wait to show him. \nBut old demons die hard\, and deep waters reflect ugly secrets. As the days go by\, the fears they’ve hoped to bury are brought to the surface\, and their bond is tested in ways neither could have imagined. \nCan starlight be kept? Or do we always fall back to darkness? \nBristol-based Sahir is known for his work locally\, including Today I fought A Tiger\, Cardboard Village\, The Courts and Morally Grey for Lightbox Theatre. \nThe show is produced by Marcus Hadley.

SUMMARY:Glove Fulla Vaseline - Alma Tavern Theatre Bristol
DESCRIPTION:Andrew Brooke brings his comedy show Glove Fulla Vaseline\, to the Alma Tavern Theatre this July. \nThe show is currently out on tour with all previous dates selling out. \nThe former teacher’s show is based upon his thirty years of teaching John Steinbeck Of Mice and Men to disengaged secondary school students. \nGlove Fulla Vaseline turns his experiences into a funny\, musical and painfully recognisable look at the realities of life in the classroom. \nAudiences can experience the triumphs and tribulations – and chaos – of teaching the GCSE text to so many reluctant GCSE students. \n

SUMMARY:Sharon Wanjohi: A Perfect Life (Preview) - The Gaffe Comedy Club
DESCRIPTION:Sharon Wanjohi is finally getting her shit together. It’s time. I’ve bought some crystals\, taken an iron supplement and finally stopped avoiding my taxes. Will this be enough to undo years of avoidance? My therapist (girl I met in a nightclub toilet years ago) says no but I say yes. Because delusion is the key to success. \nSharon Wanjohi is a queer British Kenyan comedian who’s been making waves on the circuit with her take on the lack of Gen-z homeowners and maybe too much material on the cartoons that inspired a generation of sexual awakenings. \nShe has written on Never Mind the Buzzcocks\, Late Night Lycett and The Jonathan Ross Show.

SUMMARY:Notting Hell: The Greatest Love Story in the Underworld - The Wardrobe Theatre
DESCRIPTION:The Wardrobe Theatre’s rom-com parody Notting Hell: The Greatest Love Story in the Underworld\, will be returning to the Old Market theatre for a four-week run this summer. \nThe hit show has had audiences asking for its return ever since its debut as the theatre’s Christmas show in 2024. \nThe original production\, a fast paced and smart alternative comedy from The Wardrobe Theatre was written and devised by the company. \nThe comedy promises audiences a “riotous” night of comedy which is “surreal\, but nice”. \nEternal pain and suffering\, never-ending torment\, ceaseless misery – falling in love isn’t always easy. When a foppishly handsome owner of a quaint bookshop falls for a jaw-droppingly gorgeous international mega-celeb\, little does he know he’ll soon find himself deep in the fiery pits of the underworld. Surrounded by horses\, hounds and facing off against the cursed spawn of Satan himself\, finding true love this summer is going to take a lot of sacrifice… human sacrifice. \nGeneral sale opens at 10am on Friday 27 February 2026

SUMMARY:Pyg - Spielman Theatre of Tobacco Factory Theatres
DESCRIPTION:Bath-based theatre company Sandcastles Productions is staging its new play Pyg in the Spielman Theatre of Tobacco Factory Theatres this summer. \nThree men. One mannequin. A place between somewhere and nowhere. Harrison has been coming here for a year. Or maybe it’s his first time. Or his last. It depends on which Harrison you ask: the pensioner\, the man in his 30s\, or the teenager. They’ve all been summoned here for the same reason – if only they could figure out what that is. The mannequin stands at the centre of it all\, unravelling Harrison’s life before his eyes\, as it becomes clear that there are darker truths about his world threatening to break his fantasies.   \nIt’s been described as a ‘wickedly inventive’ new play that deconstructs the relationship between masculinity and technology in a ‘radical’ and ‘compelling’ way. \nThe theatre company was founded in 2024 with the aim of giving emerging actors and creatives the chance to devise and stage original work. Its debut production – Glass House – brought together 7 actors\, 4 writers and script editors\, 3 technical designers 3 photographers and publicity designers\, 2 producers and a director. It’s an impressive feat in a challenging industry. \nThe production will be in Bristol for one night only ahead of a run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

SUMMARY:Touched - Alma Tavern Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Pilots Thumb Theatre Company comes to the Alma Tavern Theatre this summer with their new production of Touched. \nThe Devon based theatre company are performing in Bristol for the first time as part of a new tour. \nTouched was originally written by Danny Strike inspired by a short play by Laura Quigley. It’s been adapted and rewritten by Beth Scott-Hewlett. \nBritain didn’t collapse overnight—it slowly came apart. Jobs disappeared\, trust eroded\, and people stopped looking each other in the eye. Then the Urban Regeneration Programme arrived. Not a revolution. Just a system that slipped quietly into people’s lives and called itself order. \nSome welcome it. Some fear it. Most are simply trying to survive it. \nIn a world designed to keep everyone apart\, they find something rare: connection. Not quite love or friendship. More like the quiet ache of being altered by another person. \nThe Programme claims it can fix society. But to fix something\, you often must strip it down—remove the messy\, human parts first: fear\, pain\, hope\, longing. The need for one another. And if we lose those things\, what’s left of us?
