SUMMARY:KOKONA by AllouAqui Dance Theatre - Bath Spa University Theatre
DESCRIPTION:As if detached from the rest of the world\, KOK and KONA are on a journey of exploring their own and each other’s bodies; which\, peculiarly\, feel different and alike at the same time. With only a few clues from outer society\, they set out to understand who and how they should be. Driven by their curiosity and their desire to become one\, they dive into playful experimentations about the feminine and masculine\, and create space for transformations. \nKOKONA is a dance theatre duet experimenting with ideas around body\, identity and self-expression. It constructs a world in which bodies are detached from their materiality\, to playfully explore how we would experience different norms and constraints if we hadn’t yet embodied them. \nPresented by AllouAqui Dance Theatre\nChoreographers & Performers: Delicia Sefiha & Xavi De Santos\nCreative Producer: Sam De La Torre\nFeaturing some original music by Jordan Dilger\nDramaturgical Support: Xenia Aidonopoulou\nProduction Consultant: Callum Holt

DESCRIPTION:Debs Newbold comes to The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol with DAUNTLESS: Grace O’Malley\, Pirate Queen. \nIt’s a warm welcome from the city\, for Debs’ solo show is a pirate story for 21st-century feminists. \nBristol is literally home to seafaring\, maritime history and of course pirates. \nThe infamous pirate Blackbeard was from Bristol. Parts of Robert Louis Stevenson novel Treasure Island were inspired by this very city. \nDebs’ inspiration for the show was Grace O’Malley\, or Gráinne Ní Mháille in Irish. She was born on Clare Island in Clew Bay in 1530. \nAfter stowing away on her father’s ship aged 8\, she became a multilingual\, seafaring weapons expert and notorious pirate. \nDauntless is a celebration of uproarious storytelling\, high drama and one fascinating 16th century feminist.

SUMMARY:Blaze FM - The Weston Studio
DESCRIPTION:Yo! Listen. Right now it’s Blaze FM. 101.7. You’re locked into the sounds of SHUT DOWN CREW. I need 20 missed calls if you wanna hear this one again. Press play on that. \nThe Big House made their Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut with Blaze FM in 2025\, an explosive piece of political theatre weaving Grime\, Garage\, Drill and Jungle tracks through an electrifying eighty minutes of powerful performance. Now\, Blaze takes the fire from the studio to the road in a 2026 regional tour. \nYou’re locked into Blaze FM – the pirate radio station pioneering new music as a voice to the madness outside\, broadcasting an uncensored political perspective and birthing “the realest music from the next generation”. Blaze FM blasts from a rundown council flat in Hackney\, laying the foundations of Grime\, now one of Britain’s most celebrated subcultures of music. But in the midst of court orders\, DTI signal cuts\, and outright attacks against Black music\, the family fight for their right to exist.

SUMMARY:Work While They Sleep - Alma Tavern Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Jenny Futuro brings Work While They Sleep to the Alma Tavern Theatre this September. \nIt’s an adaptation of a new Brazilian feminist sci-fi play. It tells the story of a woman who accidentally conjures a sinister alter ego. \nIn a bid to achieve her dreams of success\, she needs the alter ego to work for her between the ‘lost hours’ of midnight and six in the morning. \nProblems soon begin when the alter ego wants more time\, space and control… \nWhile They Sleep explores themes around late stage capitalism and how it traps women within a continuous cycle of abuse – but also convincing them it was their idea. \nIt’s told through physical theatre and video art. \nThe production is supported by Arts Council England as part of the UK/England Season of Culture 2025-26. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Jorvik - Tobacco Factory Theatres
DESCRIPTION:The Vikings are coming to North Street\, and YOU are invited to their victory celebration! \nFun\, fierce and with a lot of heart\, ‘JORVIK’ is an interactive\, immersive play – inspired by the Viking sagas and the great tradition of communal storytelling. Expect celebration\, song\, combat\, larger than life characters and plenty of toasting! Fun\, fierce and with a lot of heart. \nThis is a piece of new writing that explores the modern day through the Viking lens. We aren’t as different from our ancestors as we think. Our desires – while modern at a glance – are deeply rooted in the same human condition: the obsession with glory\, fate\, and the need to be remembered. \n‘JORVIK’ explores the idea of legacy\, loss\, glory and family. It serves as a reminder that we need to enjoy life whilst we are still around to do so\, and to cherish those we hold dear. Powerful\, raw\, intense\, and wonderfully choreographed to bring the audience into a world of theatre. \nCast\nCharlie Blanshard – Writer and Various\nOliver Strong – Various

SUMMARY:The Kate Bush Song Book - Tobacco Factory Theatres
DESCRIPTION:Cloudbusting have been touring theatres and music venues across the UK and Europe since 2012\, exploring the intricacies and nuance of Kate’s stunning albums. Along the way\, many of those complex and at times powerful arrangements have demanded every ounce of musicality and virtuosity that the band could muster – but at more reflective moments\, the true essence of Kate’s imaginative concepts have come to life with simply the voice and piano \nIt’s these jewels of the song-writing craft that the ‘Song Book’ ensemble now performs – with Matthew Bowers at the piano and Dave Roberts on bass backing the hauntingly beautiful vocals of Mandy Watson. \nThe Song Book repertoire features stunning arrangements of some lesser-known tracks as well as many of the hits – including Wuthering Heights\, Babooshka\, Hounds of Love and Cloudbusting. But it’s perhaps the clarity of those piano-based tracks such as This Woman’s Work\, Moments of Pleasure and The Man with the Child in His Eyes that dazzle most with their sheer complexity and pure lyrical invention. \nMany of Kate’s original collaborators have been inspired to join Cloudbusting for stage performances – drummer Preston Heyman and dancer Stewart Avon Arnold\, as well as bass player Del Palmer\, who has also been an avid supporter of the ‘Song Book’ shows. \nWith material from across Kate’s 45 year career\, interspersed with personal reflections and insights to many of the songs from Mandy\, Matthew and Dave\, don’t miss your chance to join them for a magical evening in appreciation of ‘this woman’s work’.
