SUMMARY:Moulin Scrooge at The Wardrobe Theatre for Christmas
DESCRIPTION:The Wardrobe Theatre has teamed up with Front Room Theatre in Weston-Super-Mare\, for this year’s Christmas show at the Old Market venue. \nMoulin Scrooge is an adult-only new comedy featuring glitz\, showgirls\, a gaudy elephant in a mash-up musical with plenty of laughs. \nThis flamboyant nightclub-cum-bordello writhing with tassels\, tits and tuberculosis is the number one pleasure-spot where every vivacious Victorian with a taste for the unrestrained wants to be this Christmas Eve. Everyone\, that is\, except stuffy old Ebby Scrooge – a greedy\, hateful miser who detests merriment. But when some spooky ghosts push his buttons\, can-can Scrooge find love and learn the true meaning of a jolly winter festival before his soul is doomed forever? \nThe Wardrobe Theatre is one of the best venues for some festive shows for grown-ups\, having previously staged Notting Hell\, The Good\, The Bad & The Coyote Ugly\, MDH: Puppets Do A Movie\, Reservoir Mogs\, Rocky Shock Horror\, Oedipuss In Boots and Goldilock\, Stock & Three Smoking Bears.

SUMMARY:The Last Five Years - Ustinov Studios Bath
DESCRIPTION:The new production of The Last Five Years is a Built by Barn production from Barn Theatre\, Reading Rep Theatre and Theatre Royal Bath. It will star Martha Kirby as Kathy and Guy Woolf as Jamie. \nThe hit musical follows two New Yorkers in a relationship that’s lasted five years so far. The question is whether they can remain united as their lives move in different directions. \nA twisting plot sees Jamie’s side of the story start at the moment they meet. Cathy’s story starts at the end moving backwards. The pair meet once in the middle. \nIt’s a smart\, entertaining and heartfelt musical. \nDirector Hal Chambers said that he’s been longing to direct the show for over 20 years\, being a “passionate admirer” of Jason Robert Brown’s work. He called the storytelling music and emotional depth in the show “unmatched”. \n“The narrative structure\, with Cathy moving backwards through time and Jamie forwards\, creates a compelling theatrical puzzle reminiscent of a Christopher Nolan film\,” he says. \n“It feels like a haunting memory play – dreamlike\, poetic\, and full of magical realism. Our production will lean into that\, using bold imagery and movement to explore the ghosts of a relationship and the raw beauty of love and heartbreak. The music is breath-taking – joyful\, witty\, devastating – and I can’t wait to bring it to life with our cast. Performed in intimate venues\, our vision promises a deeply personal and emotionally resonant Last Five Years that captures the show’s unique intimacy and power.” \nUstinov Studio\, Theatre Royal Bath 25 November – 03 January 2026

SUMMARY:Tales From The Wasteland: Post-Apocalyptic Improv at Spielman Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Tales From The Wasteland is an improvised post-apocalyptic adventure comedy. Taking a single suggestion from the audience\, the cast will create an entire narrative driven show with no pre-prepared characters\, story or dialogue. \n\nAudiences should expect raiders\, mutants and violence over scarce resources in this absurd dark comedy. It’s inspired by other cultural offerings in the genre\, including Mad Max\, The Last of Us and Fallout. \n

SUMMARY:How Do You Sleep At Night - Weston Studio of Bristol Old Vic
DESCRIPTION:It’s 3am and you’re wide awake. Your mind is spinning – exam results\, unread texts\, crushes\, capitalism\, that thing you said in Year 9. Homework’s due. The planet’s burning. Someone out there is sleeping soundly. How? \nHow Do You Sleep At Night? dives into the quiet (or not-so-quiet) hours before bed to explore everything that keeps us up – a late-night reckoning with the petty\, the political\, and the personal. With humour\, honesty\, and a lot of tossing and turning\, this show follows a group of restless young people in pursuit of something that should be simple: a good night’s sleep. \nIt’s the latest show from Bristol Old Vic’s Young Company\, devised by the company and directed by Paige Stevens.

SUMMARY:EXPÖSED by Baby Lamb Productions - Alma Tavern Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Fashion designer extraordinaire “Ze Emperor” is on a ruthless rise to the top of Berlin’s fashion scene\, but when his latest collection falls flat\, he is in desperate need of something new. \nRumours of a cutting-edge fabric\, spearheaded by an innovative Parisian duo\, may be just what Ze Emperor needs to save his reputation and claw his way back to global fashion domination! \nFeaturing larger-than-life characters\, a feel-good soundtrack and lots of silly jokes\, Baby Lamb Productions brings you a tongue-in-cheek adaptation of The Emperor’s New Clothes\, transplanted to the dog-eat-dog world of 21st century high fashion. \nFollowing sell-out runs at the Bread & Roses Theatre and The Canal Cafe Theatre\, and after becoming OFFIE-finalists for the latter\, Baby Lamb Productions is thrilled to bring this “highly charged razzmatazz production” (Broadway Baby) to a new audience.

SUMMARY:CRIPtic Arts: The Acts - The Weston Studio
DESCRIPTION:CRIPtic Arts presents… The Acts! Coming to Bristol Old Vic on 23 and 24 January 2026. \nThe Acts is a gathering of four daring new works from some of the UK’s most exciting disabled theatre makers. \nCaitlin Magnall-Kearns weaves a love story of desire\, guilt\, and ageing with tender humour in The Ache of It. \nKathrine Payne’s dark comedy body job follows two lovers as they collide and unravel\, exploring the growing phenomenon of lonely deaths in the UK and the tangled realities of shame\, labour and love. \nTatum Swithenbank conjures REALMS\, a spell-like journey through folklore\, disability\, and magick. \nSO SHA  invites us into Pruu the Pidj\, a music-led ritual about survival\, softness\, and finding home in unlikely places. \nIn a cultural moment that asks disabled artists to fit into neat boxes\, The Acts asks what happens when we refuse. SUMMARY:Seder - Tobacco Factory Theatres
DESCRIPTION:Anchored by the Jewish ritual of the Seder\, this dynamic piece of live-scored  physical theatre demands a new consideration of our survival stories. Through  spoken word\, explosive dance and an otherworldly score of harp\, drums and distorted guitar\, Adam Kammerling explores how we value our identities as  survivors\, and asks\, is this safe? \nThe super-cohort features lead artist Adam Kammerling (Albany Associate Artist\, Out-Spoken Press) and dancers\, Si Rawlinson (Wayward Thread\, Kakilang\, My Neighbour Totoro) Elisabeth Mulenga (Goldfrapp) and musicians\, Antosh Wojcik  (How to Keep Time: A Drum Solo for Dementia\, Bad Betty Press) on drums and  Marysia Osu (Brownswood Recordings\, Levitation Orchestra) on harp. \nTogether they create a highly dynamic environment for a non-linear storytelling experience  that bursts into blasts of physicality and immersive sound. \nDeveloped in response to the recent war crimes in Gaza and the ongoing  oppression of the Palestinian people\, this show\, unable to tour in 2024 due to safety  concerns\, demands a renewed relationship with the loyalties we hold in grief.
