SUMMARY:Attenborough and His Animals - The Wardrobe Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Come along to The Wardrobe Theatre this June to celebrate a century of wildlife and wisdom with Attenborough and His Animals. \nThe show returns to Bristol in honour of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. \nThe family friendly show brings to life his natural history documentaries through clowning and physical theatre. \nWhen the great man himself doesn’t show up for a live appearance with real animal guests\, two\nhapless fools decide to save the day by recreating wonderful scenes of the natural world. \nA blue whale swims through the depths and racer snakes pursue an iguana across the desert. The largest\nrange of animals you will ever see onstage. \nThe show has been created by Clough-MacRae and Jonathan Tilley of Bristol based Clownfish. \nThe pair met through training at physical theatre school École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq and discovered their shared love of David Attenborough’s documentaries. \nFeatured Image: Jacinta Oaten \n

SUMMARY:Amelia Hamilton: Moral Support (Preview) - The Gaffe Comedy Club
DESCRIPTION:This show is held at The Robin Hood \nAmelia’s got your coat but she hasn’t pulled. She’s turned\, comedy outlaw. Each one of her new rap lines is a deadly bullet in her lyrical revolver. It’s 2026 and we are living in a new wild west where the old rules don’t apply. \nAmelia Hamilton\, ‘the rapping comic you instantly adore’ ***** (One4Review.co.uk) and 2025 ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer winner\, returns with Moral Support – a show that is unpredictable\, sharp and surprising at every turn. \nFeatured on BBC Radio 4 and BBC iPlayer\, Hamilton skewers modern morality\, joyfully dismantling everything from bad men with excellent manners to competitive happiness\, gravedigging’s inevitable rebrand and why we should absolutely re-stigmatise mental health. Smart\, subversive and gloriously off-beat. ‘You do not want to miss the talent that is Amelia Hamilton’ ***** (EdFestMag.com). \nSaddle up and bring your whisky. Hamilton is gonna show us that perhaps the good guys were actually the bad girls all along. \n

SUMMARY:Princess Sparkles - The Wardrobe Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Alt comedy scene\, writer and performer Lily Maryon\, brings her debut solo show Princess Sparkles to the Wardrobe Theatre. \nPrincess Sparkles invites audiences to step into the role of children at a birthday party whether they’re ready for it or not. Structured around familiar party favourites such as pass the parcel\, musical statues\, and improvised storytelling\, the show recreates the unpredictable energy of a children’s party while revealing a more complex story beneath the surface. \nAt its centre is Princess Sparkles\, a chaotic entertainer barely holding it together. What starts as nostalgic fun becomes a sharp character study revealing the emotional strain behind the act. \nThe show blends character comedy\, clowning\, and audience interaction. \nIt draws from Lily Maryon’s real experiences as a children’s entertainer. \nThe show uses verbatim moments from parties ranging from surreal to brutal highlighting the challenge of performing for children\, with cutting remarks like “paid to entertain me” and “out of work actor”. \n  \n

In Swedonia. The King is dead and the prince next in line to the throne is unmarried – if he doesn’t find someone soon\, he must forfeit the crown! \nIn New York City\, baker Aaron Butcher is butchering his career as a family baker. Maybe a commission in the non-location-specific country of Swedonia will fix his problems… \nThe show features original music by Leland and a large digital cast including Geri Allen. \nExpect it to have all the usual features we know and love – ‘queer\, chaotic\, comedic and heartfelt’. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Raj Poojara & Roger O'Sullivan (Double Previews) - The Gaffe Comedy Club
DESCRIPTION:Raj Poojara grew up in a Ugandan-Indian household where career advice was less ‘follow your dreams’ and more ‘don’t embarrass the family’. In DICE\, he explores what happens when life feels pre-rolled. \nFrom identity confusion and hyper-competitive cousins to navigating respectable career paths and cultural expectation\, Raj examines the pressure to land on the ‘right’ number. Sharp\, personal and packed with punchlines. \n  \nAmbition is a mortal sin — or so Roger O’Sullivan was taught growing up in rural Ireland. But with the Irish identity trending and authenticity all the rage\, in 2026\, perhaps the real nepotism is being a peasant boy who can tell a few funny stories. \nNominee: Best Newcomer Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2025. Winner: Best Newcomer Comedian’s Choice Award 2025. ‘No shortcuts: just craft\, timing and a deep love of the game’ (One4Review.co.uk). ‘Talents like O’Sullivan don’t come around very often’ (Rolling Stone).
