Freak Out! at Tobacco Factory Theatres

Bristol theatre company Coin Toss Collective, will be performing their critically acclaimed show Freak Out! for one night only at Tobacco Factory Theatres.

The performance comes ahead of a run at the Pleasance Theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.

Coin Toss Collective formed at Bristol Old Vic in 2021 through the year-long Made in Bristol programme. Since then, the company has come together to devise, write and direct their own work together.

Freak Out! is described as a ‘bold’ and ‘energetic’ piece of work exploring the effect of coastal erosion on UK seaside communities.

The company drew on research which delved into the experiences of communities in the East Anglia region.

The performance brings together physical theatre, clowning and live art, to explore climate anxiety and ask what home means.

The company worked with Choreographers Anthony Matsena (Sadler’s Wells),  Deepraj Singh (BSA) and Papatango Prize-winning playwright Matt Grinter.

Freak Out! will be at Tobacco Factory Theatres on 14 June 2024
