Multilingual Show Mrs Green Comes to Alma Theatre Bristol
Billed as half play, half documentary, Mrs Green, is a multilingual play exploring the political, economic, social and human impact Brexit has created.
Mrs Green finds a green suitcase in the flat she used to rent to Isabella, an Italian girl at the LAMDA drama school. She gets in touch with her. But is the suitcase Isabella’s or Jacques’, the young French intern Isabella used to date?
The one-hour performance is primarily in English with French and Italian, but audiences do not need to know or understand all three to enjoy the play and follow the story.
The production, from company Teatro Multilingue, started out in Rome back in 2020, expanding to other countries in Europe and recently performed at Clapham Fringe and Watford Fringe.
It will be at the Alma Theatre in Bristol on Saturday 19 February 2022 before moving to the Hope Theatre in London.
