Museum of the Moon Evening Slots Available at Bristol Cathedral
Bristol Cathedral are running a series of events alongside Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon when it comes to the city next month.
The impressive artwork, which will be displayed in the Central Bristol cathedral, generates a buzz everywhere it goes.
Whilst day visitors may turn up for free, Bristol Cathedral is also running some bookable low capacity evenings as well as a stream of other themed events.
The artwork is free to visit during the day, but donations from visitors will be welcome. They will go to charity St Mungos, who work towards ending homelessness and supporting the future of those who have been affected by it.
Bookable events include Wallace and Gromit model making, music evenings and science talks.
“The Moon has held a place in the human imagination since the beginning of time and Luke Jerram’s installation invites us to share in the experience of wonder as we contemplate our nearest neighbour in space,” The Very Revd Dr Mandy Ford, Dean of Bristol said.
“This installation also invites us to play, to have fun, and to journey to the moon and beyond!” To make this a true festival, as well as enjoying the internally-lit 1:500,000 scale sculpture of the moon, you can also enjoy a constellation of exciting events.”
