Queen Margaret Downpour Theatre Company Bristol Date

Jeanie O’Hare’s play Queen Margaret, is being toured by Downpour Theatre Company this summer.

Inspired by Shakespeare’s tetralogy – Henry VI, part I, II & III and Richard III – O’Hare forges original Shakespearean text alongside new dialogue to tell the Wars of the Roses from the perspective of Margaret of Anjou. Against a backdrop of weak monarchy and court scheming, Queen Margaret is going to hold onto power and protect the crown for her child.

Downpour Theatre Company will be taking Queen Margaret, to Blackfriars Priory in Gloucester on 02 and 03 July, The Mission Theatre in Bath 08 and 09 July, St Paul’s Church in Clifton 17 July and the Sundial Theatre on 23rd July.
