Bristol audiences who love their Christmas theatre with a lot of sparkle and vocal participation will be relieved the first pantomime in two years will be going ahead at the Bristol Hippodrome this season.

This year’s pantomime is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which opens on Saturday 04 December 2021 and includes four different accessible performances during the run.

It’s been a complete drama getting a festive show at the Bristol theatre in recent years. It’s definitely going to be Snow White, John Barrowman won’t be appearing, Sooty and Richard Cadell never made the replacement show due to Covid and of course, that’s all navigating a global pandemic which has caused merry hell for the arts, seeing many companies fold under the pressure.

The Hippodrome has now released photos of its forthcoming show, staged by Crossroads Pantomimes, which also sees the welcome return of Bristol funny-man Andy Ford. We’ve all missed his annual ‘stage hand’ mic joke.

Casting now includes Lesley Joseph as The Wicked Queen, Rob Rinder as The Man in the Mirror and Andy Ford as Muddles.

The show runs from Saturday 04 December 2021 until Sunday 02 January 2022
