St Brendan’s Sixth Form College Bristol to Perform at Dorfman Theatre with National Theatre Connections Festival

A Bristol college will be taking to the London stage this June, after being selected to perform as part of the National Theatre’s 2023 Connections Festival.

Students from St Brendan’s Sixth Form College in Brislington, will be performing The Heights at the Dorfman Theatre on Wednesday 21 June 2023.

They will be one of just ten companies representing youth talent across the country.

“Taking part in NT Connections has been an amazing experience, and has given our cast and technicians a huge opportunity,” Ellie Hall, group leader said.

“Getting to perform such an exciting work, and working with our partner theatre and the National Theatre team has been brilliant. Connections gives young people all over the country a fantastic opportunity and a chance to shine, no matter their background.”

The Heights by Lisa McGee – creator of Derry Girls – tells the story of Lillie. She lives on the Heights Estate, a place where nothing ever happens – except in her head.

Lillie watches the world go by from her bedroom window on the top floor of the tower block. She makes up stories in her head, sad ones, happy ones. But they are just stories right?

Tickets for The Heights are on sale from the National Theatre website: https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/productions/connections-2023/
