The Girl on the Train Barn Theatre
It’s not long until The Girl on the Train opens at The Barn Theatre in Cirencester, pulling audiences into the popular thriller live on stage.
The stage adaptation by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, is based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel as well as the subsequent movie, which starred Emily Blunt.
The full cast is Claudius Peters as Scott Hipwell, Kareem Nasif as Kamal Abdic, Nick Read as D.I. Gaskill, Brinsley Terence as Tom Watson, Emily Tucker as Anna Watson, Sophie Walter as Megan Hipwell and Gemma Yates-Round as Rachel Watson.
Direction is from Kirstie Davis, with Set and costume design by Charlotte Henery, lighting design from Sam Rowcliffe-Tanner, Sound design by Harry Smith and Kaitlin Howard as Fight Director.
Rachel Watson longs for a different life. Her only escape is the perfect couple she watches through the train window every day, happy and in love. Or so it appears. When Rachel learns that the woman she’s been secretly watching has suddenly disappeared, she finds herself as a witness and even a suspect in a thrilling mystery in which she will face bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.
Girl on the Train will be at the Barn Theatre from 26 September – 29 October 2022
