The Ponds Comes to The Wardrobe Theatre
Daily Bread Theatre brings black comedy exploring the disruption of female spaces
A newly formed Bristol University theatre company – Daily Bread Theatre – will be bringing black comedy The Ponds, to The Wardrobe Theatre this April.
The Ponds is a female only bathing space, hidden amongst trees. One day, the peace is shattered when a man’s body is found drifting in the water.
The ensuing police investigation tracks down all of the women who use or work at the space, with their secrets revealed.
Daily Bread Theatre say the piece is ‘not’ a murder mystery. It’s an ‘exploration of female fantasy and spaces and what happens when they are disrupted.’
The Ponds will be at The Wardrobe Theatre on 29 and 30 April 2024
