World Premiere Stage Adaptation Announces Creative Team
The creative team of Lanny at Bristol Old Vic has been announced
It’s an exciting year for Bristol Old Vic, which is celebrating its 260th birthday in 2026.
As part of the event, the theatre is running the world premiere stage adaptation of Lanny.
It’s based on Max Porter’s 2019 award-winning novel of the same name and adapted for the stage by West Country playwright Bea Roberts.
The show is a haunting story, bringing together themes of folklore, community and belonging.
Roberts herself is known for her style of blending dark humour with rural folklore.
It’s already been announced that the theatre’s very own Artistic Director, Nancy Medina, will be directing the show.
This week, the theatre has made a further announcement on its creative team.
It includes Set and Costume Designer Rebecca Jane Wood, Composer and Musical Director Dom Coyote, Lighting Designer Zeynep Kepekli, Movement Director Dan Canham, Associate Movement Director Divija Mellaly, Associate Director Rikki Henry and Casting Director Arthur Carrington CDG.
Casting news is due to be announced later in the summer.
Lanny will be on at Bristol Old Vic from 16 October – 07 November 2026
