Festive Theatre For Families: Where Did The Snow Go?

Christmas theatre for families in Bristol this festive season

If you’re looking for some Christmas theatre for young children, The Wardrobe Theatre has got you sorted.

Scarlet Oak Theatre has a snowy and joyful adventure this festive season. It’s created especially for children aged around two to eight years of age with their grown ups.

Where Did The Snow Go? follows two friends as they set off to discover exactly where the snow went.

Armed with rucksacks and a map, they find imagination can take you anywhere you want to go.

The story is told by Jasmine Orchard and Lucia d’Inverno through enchanting music, puppetry, physical comedy and clowning.

They are the makers of previous playful and engaging children’s shows The Zoo That Comes To You and Along Came A Magpie.

“One of my favourite things about this show is how Katie Sykes has designed it to be beautiful and enchanting to look at, using ordinary things like blankets, jumpers, backpacks, umbrellas and torches,” Jasmine Orchard says.

“We get to transform these things with a bit of theatrical magic, but really, we’re just playing. I love the idea that this show might give people of all ages permission to throw themselves into that again — and remind them that you don’t need anything special to make a bit of magic. Sometimes you just need to start playing.”

Where Did The Snow Go will be at The Wardrobe Theatre 17 December 2026 – 04 January 2027
