A Day In The Life of a Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Student

Take a peep into the working day of a theatre school post graduate

What does a day in the life of a masters student at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School look like? Actor and creative Carys Daniels has given people a peak into her day.

Posting on her Instagram account, Carys calls the course “full on” but in the “best way”.

She says: “From movement, voice and dialect to camera work, scene study and exploring different practitioners, it pushes you, stretches you and shows you what you’re capable of, all within the most encouraging and nurturing environment. You’re surrounded by people who want you to grow, not compete.”

Whilst she loves the “graft, laughter and a lot of learning” she is less keen on Bristol hills calling Park Street “character building”. Let’s hope she doesn’t need to pop up St Michael’s Hill any time soon. That’s definitely a level up.

Carys calls the theatre school “safe and inclusive” which is fantastic.
