After Today Alma Theatre Bristol:

Stage D’Or is bringing After Today, to the Alma Tavern and Theatre this May. It’s a play about TV presenter Bill Grundy – the man who put Punk into the mainstream.

Alex Dee plays Grundy, who ended up with The Sex Pistols on the Today Show after Queen cancelled at the last minute. It was a defining moment in television that ended his career and launched The Sex Pistol’s.

Written by Tim Connery and Directed by Doug Kirby, we find Bill Grundy three years’ later, struggling to keep his career going and reflecting on his journey from 70’s Paxman to Partridge against new director Julian – played by Charlie Jack.

After Today will be at The Alma Tavern Theatre from 07-11 May 2019.
