Bristol Hippodrome Pantomime Postponed

Bristol Hippodrome Pantomime postponed until 2021 – John Barrowman will still be performing as the Wicked Queen

Bristol Hippodrome has officially announced the postponement of this year’s pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The show, which was due to run from 04 December 2020 until 02 January 2021, will now play at the Bristol venue for Christmas 2021/22.

An email sent to customers reassured them that John Barrowman would still be joining the cast as the Wicked Queen, with bookings and tickets being automatically transferred to the closest equivalent performance.

ATG Tickets had made an announcement yesterday saying that it was suspending all performances at its UK venues until Friday 27 November 2020. In an anticipated but further statement today, the company said: ‘Due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, it is with sadness that we have taken the decision to suspend all pantomime performances at our UK venues until Christmas 2021.

‘Following discussions with our producing partners we agreed it was no longer possible for us to deliver the planned performances this year. We know you will have been looking forward to seeing the show and we apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause.

‘We’re pleased to confirm all performances will be rescheduled to Christmas 2021.’

Bristol Hippodrome said on its Facebook page: ‘We will be contacting all customers directly as we move your tickets to the corresponding 2021/22 rescheduled performance and appreciate your patience as we manage a huge amount of orders and enquiries. All together now… Pantomime will be back! Thank you to everyone who continues to support us as we work tirelessly towards re-opening our beautiful theatre and bringing you the shows you love.’
