Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Grad Denzel Baidoo Hits London Stage This Christmas

Denzel Baidoo joins the cast of The Fir Tree

A graduate from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, has been announced as one of the cast for a London theatre show this Christmas.

Denzel Baidoo only graduated from the world-renowned Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2020. He joins the cast of The Fir Tree at artsdepot this December. The busy graduate is in demand, coming to The Fir Tree right out of his run in Dear England. He played Bukayo Saka in the National Theatre’s West End Transfer at Prince Edward Theatre.

Now he will be taking to the stage in How It Ended’s adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson classic.

Baidoo joins cast members Samuel Heron and Loren O’Dair.

“We are very excited to announce our cast for The Fir Tree at artsdepot this Christmas,” Writer and Co-Founder of How It Ended Teresa Burns says.

“All three performers are brilliantly talented actors, as well as musicians, and we know they’ll bring this beautiful story to life with plenty of charm, wit and playfulness.”

The Fir Tree is described as ‘poignant and playful’ told through live music, song, live Foley and puppetry.

The production has been designed to be Sensory Adapted. This makes it accessible for neurodivergent audience members with each performance designated a Relaxed Performance.

The Fir Tree runs at artsdepot 12 – 31 December 2024
