Event Cancellation Comes After Industry Warning Last Week

The cancellation issues are arising from people not booking in advance

A popular summer event at Avon Valley Adventure Park has been cancelled due to low advance ticket sales.

The popular tourism destination announced that the under 16’s FEARless Summer Frights in June will not be taking place.

The cancellation echoes a warning issued by Loco Klub last week urging people to support local venues by booking tickets in advance and not on the day.

The club warned that the higher costs of events means that they are in danger of being cancelled without enough advance ticket sales.

They attributed this to the way audiences buy tickets. Since the Covid pandemic, there’s been a switch towards buying tickets on the day instead of in advance.

Avon Valley Adventure Park posted on Facebook saying: “We are passionate about delivering immersive, high quality experiences, and based on the current booking numbers, we do not feel we would be able to do this event justice or provide the standard of guest experience we aim for.

“Rather than proceed with an event that falls short of expectation, we have decided to cancel now while only a small number of guests are affected.”

The venue team stress that the 16 and over event will be running on the 13 June 2026
