Extra Ordinary by Emily Henry at the Alma Tavern Theatre

Behind the Door Productions will be bringing brand new writing Extra Ordinary by Emily Henry to the Alma Tavern Theatre this May.  

Extra Ordinary, follows Max and Rachel as they consider the news that their unborn baby has Down’s Syndrome, a genetic condition which adds an extra copy of chromosome 21.  

The play explores the differing perspectives of both expectant mother and father as they consider how all of three of their lives will change.  

Extra Ordinary questions the effects of genetic testing and the impact it has on diversity
