Junkies by Nick Bamford at Alma Tavern Theatre

Cornwall-based theatre company What Now Productions, are bringing their new piece of writing Junkies, to the Alma Tavern Theatre.

The company is run by writer and director Nick Bamford and writer and actor Richard Curnow.

It’s Bamford’s new play Junkies, which will be touring to Coventry, Bristol, Cheltenham and Liskeard.

Adam and Mike meet on a dating site. Adam is 25 and Mike is in his 50s. Adam, has an opiod addiction and appears to be looking for a ‘sugar daddy’.

Mike, a rich financier invites him to stay and get clean.

As their relationship develops, Adam wonders if Mike’s need to make money for the sake of it is not so different to his own addiction after all.
