Meet Fred – The Weston Studio of Bristol Old Vic

Fred is a cloth puppet just trying to live an ordinary life – get a job, be part of society and find love.

But his Puppetry Living Allowance in under threat causing Fred’s world to spiral out of control.

How do you hold on to independence when the system pulls the strings?

The dark and comic political satire has been created by inclusive theatre company Hijinx.

The cast includes those with and without learning disabilities and/or autism, whose lived experiences bring depth and authenticity to Fred’s struggle.
