Shakespeare Between The Sheets – Alma Tavern Theatre
Actor, Performer, poet and musician Edward Derbyshire, will be at the Alma Tavern Theatre this week with solo show Shakespeare between the Sheets.
Derbyshire has produced a range of such shows that takes a character from a Shakespeare play and develops their backstory.
It’s told using both modern English as well as Shakespeare’s words. Woven through the piece is live and original piano music.
Malvolio between the Sheets brings together farce, slapstick and even contains a puppet show in spoken Chinese as it tells the character’s tragicomic story.
The show asks – is it ever right to judge upon appearances?
