Lil Wenker: BANGTAIL at The Wardrobe Theatre

At The Wardrobe Theatre this June is Lil Wenker, who is coming to the Old Market venue with debut clown show Bangtail.

The show brings together traditional clowning, audience interaction and storytelling, for a loving and hilarious homage to Spaghetti Westerns.

The Baddest Cowboy in Texas roots ‘n’ toots from the mightiest mountains to the sauciest saloons. When a Badder Cowboy-er Texas-er rides into town and steals his title, he finds himself directionless. Our hero must then reconcile his past and present to discover his true purpose.

It’s been created by clown, actor and writer Lil Wenker and directed by theatre maker and graduate of Graduate of École Jacques Lecoq, Cecily Nash.

Bangtail debuted in Edinburgh last year, selling out its entire run. It then transferred to the Soho Theatre before touring in the US.

Fresh from the Adelaide Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Bangtail comes to The Wardrobe Theatre this June.
