Bristol based Late Shift Theatre is bringing their first play – Take Care – to the Alma Tavern Theatre this October.
It’s written by Edie Doherty – in the style of a sitcom – and tells the story of staff working in a care home for adults with learning disabilities.
The action takes place on New Years Day, with surprise setbacks and heartfelt humour. It’s described as a ‘comedy with a conscience’ aiming to portray a nuanced experience of working in a care home.
Late Shift Theatre say their production is “a raw, heart-wrenching, and hopeful journey through a day of duty, connection, and survival.”
