Can’t Sit Still, will be bringing their children’s show Well Done, Mummy Penguin, to Circomedia this November.

The heart-warming show brings together acrobatics, physical theatre and humour – with integrated sign language and captions.

Amidst the snowy Antarctic landscape, Mummy Penguin is off to find a fishy dinner for her family. Daddy and Little Penguin watch in suspense as Mummy swims through the icy waters, climbs the perilous cliffs and tiptoes past some grumpy, just-awakened seals. Can she do it? Well done, Mummy Penguin!

The show is a stage adaptation of the picture book from writer and illustrator Chris Haughton.

“As a graduate and former teacher at Circomedia, I’m delighted to be bringing this show back home,” Cat Boot, Artistic Director of Can’t Sit Still says.

“Well Done, Mummy Penguin brings together all the things I love about live performance – ingenuity, heartwarming storytelling, irreverent humour and of course, circus! Circomedia supported our research and development period for this show back in 2023 so we can’t wait to share the final results with the audiences of Bristol and beyond.”
