Joyful Rehearsal Shots for Rapunzel: A Hairy Tale at Tobacco Factory Theatres

It’s so close to opening night!

In just over a week, Tobacco Factory Theatres will be throwing open the auditorium to the public for its brand new Christmas show Rapunzel: A Hairy Tale.

The theatre is one of the best places to be in the festive season, always pulling out a Christmas cracker of a family show.

This year it’s written by Sharon Clark and directed by Tom Brennan.

Sharon Clark said she wanted to tell a story about how a young person finds their voice – in a powerful way.

“Rapunzel might be trapped in a tower, but she’s full of questions, ideas and hope,” Clark says.

“This version of the tale is about what happens when we dare to speak up, reach out and shape the world around us.”

Photographer Camilla Adams captured the energy in the rehearsal room ahead of opening night with these joyful shots.

Rapunzel: A Hairy Tale will be at Tobacco Factory Theatres 27 November 2025 – 17 January 2026
