Madam Renards Brings Three Kings by Stephen Beresford To Alma Theatre
The play made famous by Andrew Scott comes to the Clifton Theatre next month
Madam Renards is bringing Three Kings by Stephen Beresford to the Alma Tavern Theatre this February.
The play was written for legendary actor Andrew Scott to perform as part of a series of live streamed performances at the Old Vic Theatre in London during 2020 when theatres were closed. The BAFTA-award winning screenwriter is also known for writing hit movie Pride.

The title refers to a bar game Patrick has to play with three coins and three rules – The first can be touched and moved. The second can be touched but not moved. The third can be moved but not touched.
As he ponders the rules, he recalls a brief meeting with his absent father at the age of eight.
Both heartbreaking and hilarious, the one-person play tells of love craved from an absentee parent, abandonment and the revelation of family secrets.
The play is performed by Steve Cowley and directed by Heather Davies.
Three Kings will be at the Alma Tavern Theatre on Tuesday 11 February 2025
