Matilda The Musical Miss Trunchbull Chair Bristol
Matilda The Musical Miss Trunchball Chair Cabot Circus Bristol:
It’s fair to say the excitement ahead of Matilda The Musical hitting Bristol this spring has been big. So much so, that The Royal Shakespeare Company behind the show announced today that they will be laying on an additional matinee to keep up with ticket demand.
The extra performance will take place on Friday 31 May, with tickets to go on sale at 10am tomorrow – Friday 12 April.
If you can’t wait to get your musical theatre fix, families are being invited to brave Miss Trunchbull’s chair, which will be taking pride of place in Cabot Circus for two weeks.
The special steel chair has been designed and built by the show’s set and costume designer Rob Howell. It measures an enormous 1.2M wide and 3.5M in height, taking 9 people 200 hours to put together.
The chair will be placed on Brigstowe Street in Cabot Circus Shopping Centre from 16 – 30 April, with shoppers invited to try it out.
The show is currently on a UK and Ireland tour, with Scarlett Cecil, Olivia Juno Cleverley, Freya Scott and Sophie Woolhouse sharing the role of Matilda.
It will be coming to The Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday 7 May – Saturday 8 June 2019.
