Multi-Sensory Production of Disney’s Fantasia On Sale Now

Disney Fantasia at The Vaults in London On Sale Now

An immersive production of Disney’s Fantasia, will be taking place at The Vaults this summer.

The multi-sensory experience of the 40’s Disney film will see the audience will wear individual headphones whilst the orchestra guides them through an interactive journey. There will be different spaces featuring projections, set designs and lighting effects to recreate the magical worlds of Disney Fantasia.

Stephen Higgins will be directing a 96 piece orchestra for the recording, with music including The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Night on Bald Mountain and Nutcracker Suite.

The event will coincide with Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday. The production runs from 03 July – 30 September 2018.

Director of The Vaults, and Producer of Sounds and Sorcery, Kieron Vanstone said: “When we first began exploring the world of Disney Fantasia, we knew instinctively that this was the next epic scale immersive project for us. For some time we’d been exploring the use of headphones, and specifically binaural technology, as a technique for plunging our audiences deeper into the worlds we create.

“Fantasia is such an inspiring, iconic movie that truly features some of the most excellent music that has ever been scored. We were incredibly inspired by what Walt Disney and his animators achieved with this music in the original movie, and our immersive take on it will aim to be as ground-breaking, just as inspirational and sprinkled with the same amount of wonderful.”
