It’s a show that Bristol has eagerly awaited the return of, and its patience has been rewarded as War Horse returns to the city next week.

The National Theatre’s production features a cast of 34 and a UK tour of 15 venues, running until February 2018.

The show will be at The Bristol Hippodrome from Wednesday 18 October until Saturday 11 November 2018. If you haven’t got tickets yet, you might want to be getting to the box office now.

War Horse is an adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s story about a young boy called Albert and his horse Joey, set against the backdrop of the First World War. Its puppetry work by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company is an icon of modern theatre.
