New Stained Glass Window Art For The Galleries

Stained glass summer art installation in Bristol shopping centre

A bright new piece of artwork has been installed in the front entrance of The Galleries this week.

Glass and Colour Works has been created by artist Edward Rhys Jones and produced with Upfest Projects. The installation was inspired by the John Hall Glass and Colour Works – a paint, glass and varnish manufacturer – that was on the site for more than 150 years.

It’s part of Bristol’s Broadmead BID’s Playful Broadmead project – a free family-friendly programme aiming to help children and grown-ups see the city in a ‘whole new way’.
