New Trail Dorothy House Nature Trail Launches in Wiltshire
Dorothy House Nature Trail in Wiltshire launches ahead of May half term
Opening just in time for the May half term, Dorothy House, just up the road in Wiltshire, has launched a new interactive Nature Trail in Winsley.
The free trail runs in a circular route overlooking the Wiltshire countryside. Visitors can choose to download an augmented reality app or go tech free and enjoy the natural space.

The hospice has been working on opening up its estate to give people a ‘wellbeing space’ to ‘reflect in nature’ or to find space and ‘serenity in grief.’
The trail also includes artist Bruce Munro’s 800 illuminated fireflies. Each firefly features seperate small lights which have been dedicated to the memory of a loved one who has died.
The nature trail is just off the public footpaths from the Kennet and Avon Canal at nearby Avoncliff or Limpley Stoke.
The project has been created in collaboration with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and fundraising donations received from The Rotary Club of Chippenham.
