Possession – Spielman Theatre at Tobacco Factory Theatres

Bristol-based theatre company brings ‘darkly funny’ original piece of theatre to South Bristol

Dark Stuff Productions brings a story of late-night drink, drugs and occult speculations in Possession. It follows the story of two lovers celebrating an upcoming debut art exhibition on a stormy night in remote Dartmoor. The darkly funny and original piece of writing asks where love ends and possession begins.

The show is a co-production between the creative team at Darkstuff with direction by Danielle Mcllvn of Moveable Type Theatre.

Possession has grown from its origins as an initial one-off run. Due to its success, the work has gone through development with a revised piece of work that will be touring in London and Bristol.

Dark Stuff Productions, have been performing around Bristol for 15 years and in all kinds of novel locations

Previous performances have been staged in crypts, city farms, moving ferry boats and even aboard the SS Great Britain.

Possession will be playing at the more conventional yet intimate auditorium of the Spielman Theatre atTobacco Factory Theatres from 09 – 13 July 2024
