Rehearsal Shots Drop for To Watch a Man Eat

Full Frontal Theatre sells out brand new show

Female-led Bristol theatre company Full Frontal Theatre, have sold out their brand new production To Watch a Man Eat.

It’s an exciting time for the new company, which is comprised of recent University of Bristol graduates. This play mark’s the company’s first full length production

The company says it intends to showcase new writing and create opportunities for emerging theatre practitioners. They will particularly be looking to ‘challenge’ audiences with shows which are ‘punky, funky and a little bit twisted’.

The play is written and directed by Sadie Pearson, who is also one of the company’s co-founders. Hen Ryan is the second co-founder of the company and will be working with Pearson as co-director. Grace Shropshire is the producer.

To Watch a Man Eat follows Firefighter Micky, investment banker Andrew and the vindictive Melissa. Through these characters, the play ‘explores the modern thirst for success, stability and masculine prowess.’

It asks what does it mean to be a man, a person, in a world that upholds the ‘ideals of the corporate drone’?

What makes them tick? What can satisfy them? Sex, Money, Trifle?

To Watch a Man Eat, will be at the Alma Tavern Theatre on 03 and 04 March 2024

Cast
Lily Walker as Melissa
Keir Churchill as Andrew
George Pack as Micky
