Reverberation at Bristol Old Vic

Tony and Olivier Award-winning writer has reshaped play for European premiere in Bristol

Matthew López’s play Reverberation is making its European Premiere at Bristol Old Vic this month.

With themes of loneliness and longing, Jonathan has withdrawn from the world after a personal tragedy. His social life has reduced to little beyond the men he meets online.

When Claire, an enigmatic free spirit moves into the flat upstairs, they find themselves drawn together in a mutual need for emotional attachement. But, the past begins to reverberate into the present, threatening the happiness they have found.

Lopez’s play was originally staged in Connecticut in 2015. The production at Bristol Old Vic is a brand-new production, transposing the setting across the Atlantic to London.

Reverberation will be at Bristol Old Vic from 02 October – 02 November 2024

The play will have BSL-interpreted, Relaxed, Captioned and Audio Described performances.
